First week of group work

So our Frozen Group got to a pretty good start this week. The group name was inspired by none other than the chilling temperature in our classroom, where our group also came up with the theme of our blog. We decided that the theme would be lifestyle which is a common theme in the blogging world. The lifestyle theme is just vague enough to give you a lot of freedom in writing so the choice was easy. We also decided to use a Facebook group as the primary form of communication. Often you find yourself browsing Facebook than actually doing something you should do in Moodle so having a Facebook group makes things a bit easier and quicker.

The first group assignment wasn't too hard. We had a couple of good ideas right at the start and the first phenomenon we thought about didn't have a definition to be found by googling it so we went with it. The blog post type that is called "My Day" is now defined in Urban Dictionary. The first definition that we had come up with wasn't published but after shortening the definition to fit the attention span of the internet it was luckily accepted. I wasn't familiar with my day posts before the group assignment but with a quick YouTube search I found out that it's quite popular among Finnish vloggers. Here's an example of one such post. :)
